FAQs

  • Who can attend? The WVCTSI Annual Meeting is open to anyone interested in clinical and translational research, including clinicians, researchers, faculty, students, community members and policy leaders. Registration is no-cost.
  • Is registration required? Yes. Pre-registration is required and on-site registration will not be available for planning purposes.
  • What is the meeting format? The 2023 Annual Meeting will be held in-person at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place. The agenda will be posted soon, but it will be comprised of plenary and breakout sessions, panel discussions, workshops, a poster session and reception, and constituent meetings.
  • What are the learning objectives? Attendees can expect to learn about WVCTSI resources and services available to them and about advancements in clinical and translational research in West Virginia.
  • What COVID-19 health and safety protocols are in place for this event? Masks are not required for attendance at this meeting, however they will be available for those who wish to wear them. Hand sanitizer will also be available. We ask that anyone not feeling well not attend the event to avoid spread of germs and viruses.
  • What is the meeting attire? Most participants wear business casual or business attire to the meeting.
  • What should I do if I need special accommodations? On the registration form, please indicate your needs. A staff member will follow up and confirm details of your arrangements.
    • Those with dietary restrictions will be provided small display cards to present during served meals. Buffet options will be available for diverse needs.
    • A private lactation room as been reserved. Please see WVCTSI Staff Member Maleah King for the key to this room. 
  • If I am staying overnight, will the cost of my room be covered? Please see the travel guidelines here.
  • Are poster printing facilities available near the venue? Morgantown has several commercial printers however they are not within walkable distance to the meeting venue. It is advised to have your poster printed before coming to Morgantown.
  • I am a poster judge - where should I check in for judging? There will be a table in the reception and poster space at 4pm on May 24. Packets will be provided to the judges and should be returned to the WVCTSI staff at the conclusion of the poster session.
