Lab Technology
WVCTSI's Technologies and Resources for Core Laboratories (Technology Core) provides research infrastructure essential for translating basic research into clinical practices that improve the health of West Virginians. This Core includes the capacity to obtain human samples from across WV, supporting studies from Appalachian patients that are often underrepresented in national tissue banks. New partnerships provide support for genomics and other “omics”-based investigations across the state, complete with a growing array of bioinformatics data analyses. Finally, preclinical imaging supports translational studies, allowing for real-time monitoring of disease progression and therapeutic responses using models relevant to WVCTSI- priority health areas.
