The WVU Clinical Study and Data Agreement Services Office accelerates agreement negotiation while ensuring compliance and protecting clinical research integrity. All clinical study agreements, amendments, and data use agreements must be routed through the office to adhere to consistent, efficient and compliant process standards.
Since launching in May 2024, the team has reduced the average negotiation timelines by emphasizing clear communication, responsiveness, and clinical research expertise. Processes have transitioned alongside the rollout of WVU Research Administration Portal (WRAP) modules to the WVU research community. The Office also works in lock-step with the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute Clinical Trials Center of Excellence, which guides investigators through the research process and offers an array of resources and services to support trialists and their teams.
To ensure alignment and efficiency, WVU Medicine, WVU Research Office of Sponsored Programs and WVU General Counsel’s Office are valuable partners in this initiative.
