WVCTSI announces 2 pilot funding opportunities

The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute has released Requests for Applications (RFA) for the Bench-to-Bedside grant and Jumpstart Grant funding opportunities.

The Bench-to-Bedside opportunity is designed to support basic scientist and clinician Co-PIs conducting clinical and translational pilot projects relevant to improving health in West Virginia and Appalachia. This opportunity allows investigators to request up to $50,000 per year for a total of 24 months.

The Jumpstart Grant funding opportunity allows investigators to receive up to $10,000 in funding that must be utilized over a six-month period. This funding opportunity is designed to support small well-defined projects that will lead to measured outcomes such as preliminary data for a larger grant submission.

To assist investigators interested in applying for funding, WVCTSI will host a special information session from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 12. Anyone interested in this virtual event can register here.

For more information, application instructions, and complete deadlines, visit the WVCTSI funding page. Questions related to WVCTSI funding opportunities can be directed to Meg Haller, WVCTSI Pilot Projects Program Coordinator, at mehaller@hsc.wvu.edu.
