WVCTSI Accepting Applications for Bench-to-Bedside Grant Competition

WVCTSI is now accepting applications for the Bench-to-Bedside Grant Competition. The goal of this Request for Applications (RFA) is to support basic scientist and clinician Co-PIs conducting clinical and translational pilot projects relevant to improving health in West Virginia and Appalachia. The proposed projects should address health care needs of West Virginia. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following health care issues:

  • Addiction
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Emerging Epidemics (e.g., SARS-CoV-2, HIV, hepatitis C)
  • Cancer
  • Cardiovascular Disease (including stroke)
  • Chronic Lung Disease

For this funding cycle, the budget is limited to a maximum of $50,000 in total direct costs per year for a total of twenty-four (24) months. Each award will be up to $50,000 per year, with the second year of funding contingent on progress toward meeting the specific aims based on progress reports, a meeting to review data generated, accomplishments and plans proposed for year two

This RFA requires submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI), prior to full application. LOIs must be submitted by 5 p.m. on April 1, 2025.
