REDCap Help Clinics
What is a REDCap Help Clinic?
Clinics are essentially office hours. Our REDCap coordinator will be on hand to answer any specific questions you might have. Clinics are informal, held in group format, and a great opportunity to meet (and learn from!) other REDCap users.
When will the REDCap Help Clinics begin?
Our FIRST REDCap clinic will take place on Wednesday, August 1st at 9:30am! Be sure to spread the word!
What is the clinic schedule?
REDCap Help Clinics are held 9:30-10:30 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month in the WVCTSI large conference room (Room G150 of the Erma Byrd Biomedical Research Center)
What is covered?
Any topics are welcome. Content is driven by YOU, the attendees. There are no formal presentations, just open question/answer time.
Who should attend?
This course is intended for current users of the REDCap system. If you are a first time REDCap user who needs help getting started, we suggest that you make an appointment for a one- on- one consult via iLab.
Should I bring anything?
Help Clinics are best suited to specific questions about initiating a project, features, functionality, or errors you might have encountered in a project. We will have a laptop connected to a screen for public use, but we encourage you to bring yours if you have one!
Where is the meeting room?
WVCTSI Administrative Offices are located in Room G130 of the Erma Byrd Biomedical Research Facility of the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center. The Help Clinic will take place in the large conference room (room G150). Once you arrive at the suite, let one of the WVCTSI Staff know that you are here for the Help Clinic and they will point you in the right direction.
Do I have to register?
No. At this time, registration is not required, and help is still on a first-come, first-served basis (though we will certainly try to accommodate anyone under time crunches). Stop by any time during the posted hours to meet one-on-one with the REDCap coordinator.
How do I find more information about the REDCap Help Clinic?
Be sure to stay up to date with news, updates, and more information via our WVCTSI E-News and on our website! If there are any changes or cancellations, we will be sure to let you know as soon as possible.
What if there are a lot of people and I don't get help?
We offer help on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will do our best to meet with everyone who attends. Our REDCap coordinator is always happy to provide more detailed guidance or follow-ups via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
What other learning opportunities are available?
Stay tuned for more training opportunities coming to the WVCTSI! It is our goal to provide our users with more introductory and specialized courses both in person and online. Stay updated on our WVCTSI E-News and website for more information. Stay tuned for information about future sessions that can be accessed remotely via videoconference
